We recommend sizing down if you're in between sizes. Have a question on sizing? Check our bicycle sizing guide by clicking here.
The MOST IMPORTANT measurement when sizing a bike is your inseam length.
Don't base your inseam simply on your jean size.
The more precise, the better.
1. Stand with your back against a wall and spread your feet 6-8" apart.
2. Place a book between your legs and up against the wall, spine up; raise it until snug against your crotch (this mimics your bike seat).
3. Have another person measure from the top of the book (spine) down to the floor.
A lightweight sporty ride. Perfect for daily commuting and longer distances.

Easy to Buy, Exceptional Service
"By all accounts, buying a Brooklyn online is a pleasant experience."
I bought it a local store in Cambridge, MA. Very high quality bike for its price. I am very excited to use it for my commute.

I received my bike about two months ago and couldn’t be happier with the purchase. The ordering and delivery process was seamless, the customer service reps were helpful with all my questions, and the bike itself is exactly what I needed. I use it nearly every day for errands/commuting (I equipped it with the rear rack and added some pannier bags, which can handle a weeks worth of groceries no problem), and also use it for longer rides on weekends. This bike is great on city streets, and can also handle long rides on slightly rougher trails. It’s also light enough to easily carry up the stairs to my apartment. I’d recommend this bike to anyone in the market for a commuter/hybrid bike.
Thanks for sharing Henry. We're glad you're getting so much use out of your bike. -Ryan Zagata
I purchased the bike during my first week weeks in quarantine, so I can start getting outside. Mind you, I haven’t had a bicycle in years. So when purchasing I weighed the option of using Citi bike vs having my own and the payoff. I work from home, so this is strictly for recreational use. Let me tell you, it’s great. It was a great price. The bike is sleek looking (black) and simply just works as it’s intended to. I’ve ridden well over 100 miles on it, in a few weeks with no issues. Bike aside, the staff here at BB Co, is great. They were extremely helpful through chat. Specifically Alex, who I felt I was constantly annoying before my purchase. He was patient with me, answered every question, pointed me to videos for tips etc.. thank you team for your help, and for a great product. I’ve already recommended you to several friends.
Thanks so much for sharing Matthew. Glad you're enjoying your new commuter bike. We appreciate you acknowledging the team's efforts. -Ryan Zagata
A great experience ordering online directly from Brooklyn Bikes! Awesome customer service (Thanks Alex) and a really solid bike for the price point! Would highly recommend ordering from Brooklyn Bikes.
Thanks so much for sharing Joshua. We're thrilled you're enjoying your bike and appreciate you acknowledging the team. -Ryan Zagata
I think I read reviews everywhere when I started my bike search. I ended up deciding on Brooklyn Bicycle due to the reviews on their bikes as well as the type of service they provide. I ended up on the Roebling and it's just a dream to ride on. It's light enough to carry up some stairs, it looks great and rides smooth. Initially I was worried about buying a bike online, but I can totally see why it works and have no regrets on my purchase.
Thanks so much Jonathan. That's quite a compliment it's appreciated. We're thrilled you're enjoying your Roebling. -Ryan Zagata
Bought a grey roebling with a 21” frame more than a month ago. Nothing to complain about. Works just perfectly fine.
Thanks David. Glad you're enjoying your Roebling commuter bike. -Ryan Zagata
