She's a dream!

I first have to say that Ryan at BB was so patient and helpful, I must have tested every bike in their showroom and I was still undecided. In the end I went with my gut and bought the Driggs. I swapped the seat for the Willow, which has been much more comfortable. The Driggs fulfills my criteria that it must look great and be a laid back ride for commuting. I've only had a few rides (before I shipped her to our new home in Australia) but I'm very happy with how it handled the uneven roads of Brooklyn and even in strong winds, I managed to find a comfortable speed. She also gets so many admiring looks, it pains me to attach a U-lock to her. Overall, a great valued bike that has so much charm and a perfect commuting bike for the scenic-route enthusiasts.
Thank you BB team!

Thanks so much for sharing Candace. We enjoyed working with you and hope your bike serves you well in Australia. -Ryan Zagata

Not just for Brooklyn

I love this bike. It is impeccably stylish, especially my matte black. It's also a great ride. I commute regularly from Brooklyn over both Manhattan & Brooklyn Bridges to various areas in midtown. It is reliable, predictable, and very very comfortable, soaking up the insults of New York's ravaged pavements with smooth and quiet dignity. And I get to glide serenely above. It's a pleasure.

So glad you're enjoying your Driggs 3 Will. It was great having you by the showroom. -Ryan Zagata

In praise of the Driggs!

Rather than have a bike shop set it up for me, I had the Brooklynoids send me the box of parts, and I would put together. Finished last night. Nice bike!
I like the way that the Driggs looks both forward (sealed bearing hubs and bottom bracket, nice Shimano Nexus 3-speed hub) and backwards (out of the 19th century double top tubes and white tires), at the same time. For the price, it is a solid value.

I did tweak it a bit. The stock handle bars were a bit too "Pee Wee Herman" for my tastes, so I put on flat bars. That somewhat sinister black thing on the handlebars is a bike light. Safety first, eh?

My other 3-speeds all have old time Sturmey/Archer AW hubs and "trigger" shifters on the handle bars, so I was a bit apprehensive per the Shimano set up. (Shimano is about a loveable as the flu.) I was totally wrong. It's great, and couldn't be easier to adjust.

Yes, it's made in China, but so's your iPhone.

So, would I recommend this bike? Without hesitation, I say yes!

Thanks for sharing John. You passed our 'mechanics' test so we were happy to give you a go at assembling. Thanks for sharing. -Ryan Zagata

SUBURBAN BEACH CRUISER

This is not just a bike for urban riders--I use this in Rowayton, CT to get to the beach, run an errand, or go see a friend. The ride is terrific and the front rack easily holds a Yeti cooler.
I have been given a number of great compliments on the style. My biggest compliment is that the folks at Brooklyn Bicycle Co. were easy to work with, answered all of my questions and made the process easy and fun. I am very happy with this ride!

Thanks so much Steve. Was great meeting you in our showroom and we're thrilled you're enjoying your Driggs 7. -Ryan Zagata
