Why You'll Love It
We love our new bikes. The matte denim paint and silver trim looks so good in person. Excellent build quality, good components, fun to ride, and great customer service from Brooklyn Bicycle Co.
Bought this bike for my wife for Christmas for her personal riding and pulling baby cart. She loves it feels very high quality
I love my Lorimer! I learned how to ride just to use this bike for my daily 7 mile commute to work. Perfect for the versatile terrain of the Bay Area and so much better than getting on the bus.
I've never commuted by bike to work before and am super cautious when diving into something new. So I did my research and Brooklyn Bicycle kept coming up. I loved the design and the price. The Lorimer was perfect for me living in the city as it is able to ride well on the streets as well as the trails with ease. It did take a little longer than I anticipated for the bike to arrive but the customer service responded quickly with updates when it was late. Overall it's a beautiful bike that makes riding to work everyday a pleasure. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a bike. My husband likes my bike so much he'll probably get one too!
I really enjoy my Lorimer, and use it every day for my regular weekday commutes to work, and to the grocery store. The only downside is that the tires are thinner than what I expected (this is not a mountain bike or hybrid). As mentioned, this is great for regular, predictable riding, but you need to be extra vigilant when going on new roads and paths. Since I'm used to mountain bikes, I already got my wheel stuck in between a crack and a groove on the road while riding at low speed thankfully, which I wasn't expecting (that never happened on my mountain bike). The gear-shifting is great, and it handles well on steep hills. The seat that comes with the Lorimer is very comfortable (for women) and the length between the seat and handlebars is just right without straining my back.
This is the first bike I've owned, and I'm really happy with it. I'm fairly short, so the smaller size feels much nicer to ride than most of the other bikes I've ridden. The matte blue finish is very pretty, and I've gotten a number of compliments. It's perfect for riding to/from work during the week and going on longer bike rides on the weekends. I really love my bike and looking forward to riding it for a long time :)
