Why You'll Love It
I love my Driggs! I wanted a fun bike that could tackle small hills for neighborhood rides. Couldn’t be happier.
This bike was everything I dreamed of, and then some. The matte black is stunning, and the cognac brown handles are not only aesthetically pleasing, but super comfortable as well.
It is even better in person than it was online.
If you’re even considering it, just do it.
Such a good price; great quality.
I purchased my Driggs at the very beginning of the Coronavirus lock-down after a drunk driver ran a red light and totaled my car. I had to transition into bicycle-as-primary-transportation mode quickly. I loved my 15+ year old single speed frankenbike but my 50 year old knees were reminding me of my age. After much pride swallowing and research, I decided a 3 speed would suit my needs perfectly.
The Driggs was by far the best value, the most stylish and the best build in its class. I changed out a fair amount of the accessories and components to suit my personal taste, but not enough to compromise the original design integrity.
It’s unlike any bike I’ve ever owned. The long wheel base and slightly upright geometry make for a very stable and comfy ride. It’s not very nimble, but it can handle aggressive maneuvers when necessary.
The ordering process was smooth and the micro-financing was helpful in uncertain economic times. The team was very communicative throughout the shipping and assembly process. The shipping carrier was pretty rough with the package and there was some minor cosmetic damage to the frame and the rear carrier rack, but they got out in front of it and the issues were quickly made right. I’m very impressed with the service and integrity of this company!
Was a little concerned how I would feel about the swept back handlebars, but they're great. I find the riding position to be awesome. And good lord is this bike beautiful. For cruising around Brooklyn it has been perfect. It's easy to ride, and the three gears are plenty for riding around the city. Feels sturdy and has been a great transition for someone who is used to riding citibike exclusively and has not owned a bike in almost 2 decades.
My only two small complaints are the seat is very firm (which is easy to change so no biggie) and the braking action is lighter than I would like.
I won this bike in a drawing from New Belgium Brewing Company. I ride road and gravel bikes. This bike is fantastic!!!!!!
Overall, it really is a great bike. This is a bike that has style first and foremost. I commute to work 3 miles each way on a green way. The path is flat and well maintained (mostly through parks). The Driggs 3 is exactly the sort of bike for this commute. It is well constructed and surprisingly light. I would not characterize this bike as nimble. Neither would I describe it as aggressive. It is smooth; elegant. Think: sailboat. It does not stop or start quickly. It is not a curb hopper. If you're riding in traffic or riding on less forgiving paths, you might choose a different ride. To get to the grocery, I need to navigate among cars and across a variety of unforgiving paths. For that, I'll stick to my old mtn bike hybrid. Proposed changes: 1. The pedals are pretty, but lack teeth (literally - your shoes will slip off). 2. The seat is not comfortable. Given the nature of this bike, a comfy seat is in order. 3. I will be swapping out the handlebar stem. Given the swept handlebars (which are awesome), I think it needs a stem that has less of a forward placement. 4. The brake pads are simply too small. I'll be swapping them out for more contemporary pads with better braking power. I do, however, recommend this bike (with some possible component swaps). Good value. Good components. Great frame. Excellent style.
