One of our most versatile commuter bikes, the Lorimer features a wide gearing range and puncture-resistant tires for all-day and all-terrain riding, but don’t let this sleek hybrid bike fool you: It’s just as ideal for commuting and running errands as it is for working up a sweat on city streets or bike paths. The ultra-lightweight, double-butted chromoly steel frame delivers a light and smooth ride everywhere life takes you. While similar in design to its sibling the Roebling, the Lorimer sets itself apart with a more compact cockpit and wider saddle.

I love it, so do strangers!

I’ve received many compliments on the bike, a few of my friends took it for a spin. Everyone loves it! Took some getting used to with the thinner tires, used to Mtn. Bike tires.

Thanks so much for sharing Jennifer. We're thrilled you're enjoying your Lorimer. -Ryan Zagata
Nice but disappointed on the logo

I was super excited to receive this bike but it is not identical to the one shown online which is very disappointing because you would think for the price you pay, they would sell you what the website promises. I think the website should be more specific on what you should expect to get if they went under a logo change that is fine but I would have liked to receive the one with the new logo instead I got one that says “BK Lorimer” They also had to switch my bike because they had sold out of the 14/s one, but the website again did not indicate that so I’m pretty disappointed in the small details which I believe are still very important for any paying customer.

Cindy - thanks so much for sharing your feedback. We have emailed you separately. While it is apparent from our emails that you are functionally happy with the bike, we understand your disappointment that the branding on the bike was not identical to the photos. As we had shared, the bike is is functionally identical from a component perspective, we did adjust our branding several months ago and not all models/sizes have seen that new branding work its way into our inventory yet which seems to be the case here. Thanks again for sharing. -Ryan Zagata
Perfect Bike

I bought a lorimer about a month ago I researched a number of bike companies and needed something that would fit me. Fit was my primary need. I had serious injuries to both my lower extremities. I cannot run at all and even walking is difficult. Ryan Zaqata helped me choose a bike. He has no idea the impact me new bike has had on my life.

When I ride, I am like everyone else including the joggers. I ride hard and I ride strong. I love my bike!!!!!!!!!

Thanks so much for sharing Karen and thank YOU for giving us the opportunity to get you on the right bike. I am glad everything worked out as planned. -Ryan Zagata
All I Ever Wanted

This bike is perfect! I love the look and the easy ride, especially as in getting more seasoned from not riding for a long while. I'm really short, and it was a struggle to find a bike that was in a height rager to accommodate my petite 5'0 frame, and there Lorimer was a success! Not only is the bike beautiful, but the customer service from Lorimer was outstanding. Quick to respond, as well as honest! When I ordered pieces with my bike that didn't fit unknowingly, they emailed me to let me know and to give me the right size on what they could and refunds on what they couldn't. Brooklyn, you have a customer for life now!

Thanks so much for sharing Jamie. We are glad you are enjoying new your new hybrid bike. -Ryan Zagata

I love my Brooklyn Bicycle just as much as I love the company and how responsive and wonderful they are. When i was unable to purchase the Franklin because it was out of stock in my color/size preference I opted for the Lorimer. I was helped by countless people to make sure it was the right fit for me. They had it put together at my local store and I just picked it up and rode off on my new bike!

I love how lightweight and compact this bike is. I was originally looking for the upright posture of the Franklin, but I have gotten used to the sportier position that is offered by the Lorimer. It has so many speeds and seemlessly switches between speeds when I’m riding.

I was really set on having the walnut handles and saddle so I ordered those seperately and they were put on when my bike was being built.

I do wish they kept the logo on the bike like you see in the pics! The bike says “BK LORIMER” instead of “BROOKLYN”on it. Silly, but I’d really rather it have the logo on it, so that was disappointing to realize when I got it.

I am thrilled with my purchase and already convincing my friends to buy from BBC.

Thanks so much for sharing your feedback and acknowledging the teams efforts Alexandra. We went through a branding refresh earlier in the year and there are still a few bikes out there with the prior branding but all else is the same. Enjoy! -Ryan Zagata
