I spent a lot of time looking at different bikes to ride to and from work (8 mile round trip) and around town (Tucson). I finally decided to try the Roebling and I am very happy with purchase. The bike is sleek and quick but solid. Ordering and delivery was super easy. I was going to add a basket or rack but the bike looks so good I'm sticking with it as is and carry a pack.
Brooklyn bicycle co has reignited my love for biking. I have purchased my second Willow recently. I keep one at the cabin and one in the city for errands and joy riding. So very comfortable and low maintenance, pure joy!
After years of high maintenance road bikes and mountain bikes that caused sore wrists, firearms and back, the Willow is so much more comfortable. Sitting upright, you can feel the breeze and enjoy the view way better than the hunched over posture of my other bikes.
The toughest part was choosing a color!
This is a great bike and the process from start to finish was absolutely fantastic. Perfect single speed commuter bike. Great design and construction. Really a good looking bike as well. Customer service was excellent and the process of having it assembled at a nearby bike shop is genius. It's also a great way to make some introductions to be sure you'll know where to service it down the line. Very impressed with this company.
My daughter loves her new Lorimer bike. She is the fourth member of the family to get a Brooklyn Bike and she has been as pleased with it as the rest of the family. The customer service provided by Brooklyn Bine is the best I have experienced by a company in years if not the best ever. We will continue to enthusiastically recommend Brooklyn bikes to our friends and family not only for the beautifully designed and engineered bikes but equally for the first class customer service.
I've owned this bike (in large and blue) for about 10 months now and love it. I had a challenge finding a new bike that had all of the features I wanted ( at least 7 speed internal hub, step through frame, swept back handlebars, chain guard, fenders, rear rack all included) in a size that fits me at 6'1". Most bikes with these features seem to be made smaller sizes and/or are intended for women. Due to some lower back issues in recent years I've wanted to ride more upright than I used to. I was fortunate to find this bike after much searching in Washington DC where I live. The moment I hopped on it for a test ride, I knew it was the bike I was looking for. It's been a perfect commute bike for my daily round trip of about 12 miles. I have a great time riding it. I ride mostly on city streets, but my commute takes me over the gravel paths on the National Mall and it handles this fine, too, thanks to the wide tires. Recently I noticed that something was wrong with the rear fender as it was rattling around like it was loose--somehow one of the brackets(?) that holds it in place must have broken off. I emailed Brooklyn Bicycle Co. about it and Ryan wrote me back in less than 30 minutes, got info about my bike (where I got it, etc., etc.), and a couple days later they are shipping me a new fender at no cost. The bike has been a pleasure to ride and my only customer service experience with the folks at the Co. was great. Highly recommended if you're looking for what I was looking for! I feel like I finally have a frame that fits me just right and I'll keep for years. Disc brakes would have been awesome but weren't a deal-breaker for me).
