This is my second BBCo bike. I haven't put a ton of miles on my Bedford 8 yet, but I'm liking it so far. I appreciated the easy pick-up from my local bike shop. I don't love grip shifters, so I had the bike shop guys install trigger shifters instead (which meant I had to buy new grips). That's just personal preference. Speaking of personal preferences, I also prefer the stopping power of calipers vs. V-brakes (which this bike comes installed with), but it's not a deal breaker. Overall, looks good, is comfortable and beats the **** out of the other options out there. Cheers, thanks, and keep up the good work.

I won this beaut from a local liquor distributor and it's so amazing!! I'm more of a long board type guy and spend my time on mostly that, electric and accustic but I can't stay off this thing!! Probably 50 miles this week!! I've even tackled some monster hills and still showed up looking almost as clean as the bike 😎

Have already been on it a couple of times. Super happy with the bike, looking forward to putting the miles on it.

I’ve ridden my new bike almost every day since I received it the beginning of July, and it’s been an absolute pleasure. I use it for my daily commute (only 4 miles one way) as well as most of my errands, and I use the Topeak rear rack to carry everything. It’s a very comfortable bike, and the 8-speed range is perfect for my area where it’s relatively flat with a few small hills here and there. It’s a well built bicycle, with quality components that are simple and robust.

Brooklyn Bicycle Co. was an absolute pleasure to purchase from as well. Everyone I interacted with was very helpful and accommodating. The bike shipped much quicker than I anticipated, and my local bike shop had it ready to go days before I anticipated (less than 5 business days from order confirmation to riding it home!).

I love this bike! It ride’s so smooth. It’s my first commuter. The gears shift like butter. It’s so comfortable. It shipped so quickly and was perfect from the start. We bought 2 and have already put about 30 miles on them. Taking them to Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard this weekend for my birthday. Everyone loves the color and the look. I couldn’t be happier.

I am very happy with my Bedford 8 speed! Beautiful bike that came just as pictured. Quality of seat and handle bars are very good. The seat is also very comfortable. I use the bike for my commute (10 miles one way). I’m a recreational biker but the 8 speed does wonders for my commute to make it an east ride. Not the lightest bike, but for an 8 speed sleek bike, not bad in weight-I’m still able to carry it up and down short flights of stairs without hassle. Assembly and delivery to my door were so easy and a huge reason why I purchased this bike. Only hassle was my service delivered without assessing my height. But was easy to find a bike shop to adjust for me. Other bike companies tack on a large fee for the assembly for an already expensive bike, and even then they required pick up. Overall very happy with price point for the comfort, ride quality, aesthetic, and easy delivery experience.

I wanted a bike for my short commute to work and after doing extensive research I came across the Bedford 8. I wanted to try it out before buying it, but after reading more about the company and other reviews I went ahead and just purchased it. Bike arrived about two weeks later at my LBS. It's been such a joy to ride to work and I love the Army Green color. The 8-speed really helps on the hills coming back home. Now I want to get the rack when it becomes available again. Great buying experience and bike!

I've had this bike for almost a year now and have put a lot of small local trips on it.

Pros: Handlebar shifting mechanism is intuitive, the bike is very quiet, and the main reason I upgraded - the lightweight frame. The bike can accelerate very quickly and maintains speed.

Cons: I ordered Small, and the handlebars sit just an inch or so lower than where I'd like but based on research I would need an extension piece to raise them at all.

Extra note: My local bike shop that assembled the bike sent me an email that the bike was ready a couple hours before they closed, and I didn't see the email until it was a few minutes too late. I called them and explained I live a couple blocks away, and they stayed late & unlocked the shop to let me get my bike after hours, and didn't rush the process at all. All that to say: I was very impressed, and Brooklyn Bicycle definitely picks good partners.

This is the first bike I’ve owned as an adult, so I’m not exactly an expert on them. What I can say is I’ve had no complaints with the ride after 20+ miles, and I’ve gotten quite a few compliments on the looks. I also added the commuter bundle and rear bike rack (that my local shop assembled for me) - it’s been really handy having a bike lock that comes with a way to secure it to the inside of the frame and the bell and safety lights are also really nice.

All that being said, the buying process alone was enough of a reason to get me to pull the trigger. I’m a taller guy (6’4’’) so I sent a message to customer service asking their opinion on the right bikes for my height. The literal president of the company (Ryan) emailed me back within 60 seconds and was very responsive to multiple follow-up questions. The coordination with my local shop also could not have been better. My bike was ready 8 days after shipment (compared to the 10-14 they indicate), and I got an email from Brooklyn Bicycles followed by a call from the shop itself to let me know. All in all, cannot recommend this company enough and I’ve already convinced my partner to purchase his first bicycle as well.

Every morning I am torn between my new Bedford and my Driggs 7 for the commute to work. Lately, the Bedford has won out. Smooth, light, strong, fast, amazing details and finish. On weekends, it can carry two huge panniers of groceries with ease. I still love my Driggs but it’s so fun to have a quality choice.

Love the bike price was OK but you got to pay for quality the bike shop in dallas was great and the owner set me up with finders and rack free adjustments and was able to maintain the bike

I'm very satisfied with my purchase. The bike fits me perfectly and is comfortable. But it also begs to be ridden fast. Whoever designed the frame knew exactly what they were doing. Outstanding customer service as well. Can't ask for more.

I had been cycling through different bike brands all winter long. Really spinning my wheels about it. Finally, I came across Brooklyn Bicycle Company after a long and tiresome process. I pumped the brakes on buying from another brand and decided to get the Bedford 3. During my first ride, the bike spoke volumes. And not to switch gears, but the staff was incredibly helpful and the buying process smooth - never an uphill battle. Above all else the bike was reasonably priced, even after I adjusted for inflation.

You won’t regret this bike, it’s honestly amazing. I’m actually trying to get my friend to buy one right now, but he prefers unicycles. Yeah, he struggles socially and can’t handle-bars! It’s a vicious cycle.

This is literally the best bike I’ve ever owned.

I finally passed down my 23 year old Trek 820 to my son and got me this bicycle. I've only ridden the bike for a few minutes. My first impression is that the bike is very comfortable. I've just ordered a trailer hitch from Uhaul so I can't wait to take this bike to some nice bike trail.

Thank you, guys. I just moved from dense Los Angeles to serene Santa Barbara and it was the ideal time to reacquaint myself with bike riding. The beautiful scenery that’s Santa Barbara combined with the joy of discovery on my Bedford build has me feeling like a teenager again. I’ve been riding every single day since delivery. Kimberly and Danielle were terrific throughout the process. 👍

I rode my Bedford 55 miles on the Putnum trail and matched hybrid bikes for speed. It was super comfortable. The gearing was enough to master the hills. My friend asked me the next day how my backside felt. I felt no discomfort at all from the day before. It's a pleasure to ride and its probably the bike I've loved the most.
