Bedford 3 Speed

I am really digging my Bedford 3 Speed. My first ride brought back wonderful memories when I was a kid in South Africa riding my BSA 3 speed bicycle. I get a lot of compliments. Brooklyn Bicycle Co. you guys are crushing it!. Detroit Bicycle Co. a Brooklyn Bedford 3 Speed is on the road... Watch out.

Thanks Andrew. We're glad you're enjoying your bike. -Ryan Zagata

excellent Bedford pleases father and daughter

My daughter loves her new Bedford. She's limited to early recreational rides now because it's so hot in Tucson but it will be her daily commuter come October. She hadn't had a decent bike or ridden regularly in 20 years, and her Bedford immediately gave her the confidence to hit busy city streets. She loves the elegant look of her 'raw' bike; I like the solid and reliable frame and components. We're both happy.

Thanks so much for sharing Richard. We're thrilled your daughter is loving her new bike. -Ryan Zagata

Bedford 3 - Coo

I had been cycling through different bike brands all winter long. Really spinning my wheels about it. Finally, I came across Brooklyn Bicycle Company after a long and tiresome process. I pumped the brakes on buying from another brand and decided to get the Bedford 3. During my first ride, the bike spoke volumes. And not to switch gears, but the staff was incredibly helpful and the buying process smooth - never an uphill battle. Above all else the bike was reasonably priced, even after I adjusted for inflation.

You won’t regret this bike, it’s honestly amazing. I’m actually trying to get my friend to buy one right now, but he prefers unicycles. Yeah, he struggles socially and can’t handle-bars! It’s a vicious cycle.

This is literally the best bike I’ve ever owned.

Shout out to the folks at Silk Road Cycles, you folks are wheelie nice.

Thanks so much for sharing Joseph and for the seemingly futile attempt to get your mate on one of our steeds. We also appreciate you acknowledging the efforts the team puts forth to make sure things go smoothly. -Ryan Zagata

Very Comfortable Bicycle

I finally passed down my 23 year old Trek 820 to my son and got me this bicycle. I've only ridden the bike for a few minutes. My first impression is that the bike is very comfortable. I've just ordered a trailer hitch from Uhaul so I can't wait to take this bike to some nice bike trail.

Thanks for sharing John. We're thrilled you're enjoying your bike. -Ryan Zagata

Bedford 7 speed.

me: New Yorker, commutes about 75 miles a week, rides for pleasure about 75 more between late March and early October. I own a single speed frankenbike, and philosophically believe the less parts on a bike (or really anything), the better.

I wanted something affordable with speeds to take some of the strain off on hills such as our East River crossings, and I didn’t want to spend a bazillion dollars for a quality bike.

The bike: [Full disclosure, I’ve only put about 150 miles on this thing so far] The Bedford 7 Speed is exactly what’s advertised. It’s a beautiful affordable comfortable durable commuter ride made with quality components. I particularly like the twist shifter and the 1x drivetrain.

[note for the Brooklyn Bicycle Co. suggestion box. If you guys made a 10 or 12 speed with a 1x drivetrain, twist shifter, and similar geometry in this price range I’d buy it in a heartbeat!]

Thanks for sharing Ira. Looks like you're logging some substantial miles. -Ryan Zagata

Very happy!

I ordered my bike the day I was alerted that it had become available again, and I’m so glad I did. The wait was a tad longer than expected, but it was well worth it. It’s exactly what I wanted, and a thrill to ride.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share Bethany. We apologize for the delay in fulfilling your order but we're glad you're enjoying your bike. -Ryan Zagata

Great Handlebars!

As a young bike mechanic I don’t have preferred bike component retailers. But these are perfect bars for cruiser vibe bikes. Everything (grips, brake levers etc) fit according to measurements. Great product, highly recommend it!

Thanks so much for the kind words and acknowledgment Blake. -Ryan Zagata

Great experience--great fit--great value!

My Brooklyn Roebling checks ALL of the boxes (rack compatibility, STEEL, and most importantly a frame in a 15"!) for an upright (and underrated) commuter/wherever bike. Having this bike for two years, it fits like a glove and is as utilitarian, or minimal, as I want it to be.

Another comment on fit: thinking I was a 14" (in the Lorimer)--Ryan gave me a call and suggested I bump up in size to the 15" (Roebling). He was spot on--and even did me the courtesy of finding a bike shop that "he felt good about" to do the professional assembly.

I love my Roebling so much that I've sticker-bombed it for personal flare. It's not leaving my stable!

Thanks so much Joseph. We appreciate you coming back to share your experiences two years later. We try to build our bikes with longevity at the forefront and it seems our product management team is delivering on that promise. Thanks again. -Ryan Zagata

Perfect Bicycle

As soon as I saw its sleek, vintage look, I knew this was the perfect bike for me. Ordering could not have been easier. And having it shipped to and assembled by a local bike shop made it a breeze. Six weeks later, I love everything about this bike and could not be happier with my choice. I can't say enough about it!

Thanks so much for sharing. The Driggs is a real head turner so we're glad you're able to enjoy it and appreciate the feedback. -Ryan Zagata

Look At That Rack!

I had won a New Belgium cruiser a few weeks ago. It was shipped to me and while in transit, the rack was bent. I located the rack on the website to fit the bike. It shipped quickly and was very easy to install. My overall experience was great! I was informed about this purchase from the moment I ordered it and it was easy to track until it was delivered.

Thanks so much for sharing Johny. So glad you're digging your rack. -Ryan Zagata

What a great experience so far, the pictures online don’t do the bike justice. It is a great looking bike very comfortable and easy to ride. I had quite a few issues related to the shop that put the bike together resulting in some failures that the team at Brooklyn bicycles was quick to rectify. I have enjoyed my experience working with the team at BB. I also have enjoyed my bike thus far.

Thanks so much for sharing your feedback and this amazing photo William. As you likely gathered, one of our biggest challenges is ensuring the customer experience is universally flawless across our 450+ network of partner shops and it is an also an area where we will never stop pursuing perfection. Enjoy your ride. -Ryan Zagata
