What a great company, they helped me navigate what bike was best for my needs. I just love my bike!!!! As well, you are not dealing with a big box company, you get direct personalized service from everyone including the CEO of the company.

Love my Franklin 8-Speed! It’s beautiful, comfortable, and everything I was looking for in a bike to ride around our neighborhood. I loved that BBC made all of the assembly arrangements with a local bike shop AND included those costs with purchase. The only thing I’d note is that my particular seat is VERY hard to adjust, and I wish I had had a chance to be properly “fitted” when picking up the bike. (The shop just happened to be transitioning ownership, so I had to pick it up at an outdoor storage location. It started raining when I arrived, so I didn’t have a chance to ride it before loading it in my car.) The bike itself is amazing and I feel lucky to have it.

I Love my Bike.

The color alone is bright, vibrant, and full of personality and it turns heads every time I ride. I’m transitioning from a beach cruiser to a city bike, and the Franklin 8 has made that shift effortless. It’s the smoothest ride I’ve ever experienced and it truly glides like butter, even on San Diego’s bumpy streets.

I needed a bike that could keep up with our crew (my husband and our friends are serious riders!), and this one delivers. From meetups in Mid-City to cruising through Balboa Park, the Franklin 8 handles it all. I especially love that it has both backpedal and handlebar brakes are perfect for my comfort and confidence as I level up my riding game.

Delivery and setup were seamless. Brooklyn Bicycle Co. arranged for a local shop to assemble it, and it was ready in record time. I even received a proactive email from their team offering a refund for an accessory I had ordered that wasn’t compatible. Who does that anymore?! Truly kind and generous icons.

I took advantage of the Warehouse Deal and honestly… I can’t find a single imperfection. This bike is perfection.

This bike is solid. They spent money on the right components of this bike, other components didn't need to be expensive to still work. Rides smooth and looks great. Missing a black part under the saddle but will contact about that. Other than that, it's a nice bike, well built, looks great and rides smooth. I was concerned about the angle of the handle but it was actually fine.

After not having a bike since high school I got the sea glass color Franklin 8 in late 2022. I enjoyed it so much that I got the dark blue Franklin 8 in 2023. I use the basket to pack food and beverages for longer rides, while I use the newer bike for shorter trips usually, and evening rides mostly. Go on paved bicycle trails only and have ridden well over 1,500 miles this summer and fall. Both bikes ride smoothly and get compliments on their retro looks. Love the fenders!

This bike is a perfect fit for me!

The Virginia countryside is not normally the playground of Brooklyn bicycles. But my Franklin does well here after a few minor modifications and add-ons. With a quill stem (silver, of course) allowing for a lower handlebar, this step-through moves at a good clip, even when there's a headwind. It's also the kind of bike you can't just park and walk away from. After a few steps, you have to turn around and give it an admiring look. It's that stylish. Great job, Brooklyn!

This is an incredible bike. The fit is perfect and I look forward to riding for many miles. I always struggle with hand pain so I did add the upgraded seat and swept back handle bars. They were both great additions that allowed me to be more upright. The color is beautiful as you can tell in the reference photo. I appreciated the customer service and quick shipping of the bike. I would highly recommend this bike and this company.

Bought this step through for the purposes of putting a child seat on the back. The reason I bought the step through was so I don't kick the kid's everyime I get on or off. In that regard, it is perfect. The 3 speed is perfectly adequate for NYC; no hill is so steep here that more speeds are necessary.

Only complaints are really nitpicks. I wish the clasps that held the brake cable were enclosed; my cable keeps coming out and rubs against the chain as I ride. Also, It would have been nice if, when purchasing, one could choose the type of handlebars come with it. I would have loved the swept back handle bars, but its too much trouble to order and bring back to the bike shop to be redone.

It’s been less than a day since having my ivory 3 speed Franklin and I am beyond obsessed! The back fender was damaged during shipping but the bike shop reached out to the company immediately and they will address it with no issue. I took it for a spin and I love it so much! Can’t wait to keep riding’

Love my new bike! It’s not only beautiful and comfortable but a very smooth ride. The ordering process was so easy. Having it shipped to a local bike shop for assembly was seamless and so convenient. I can’t wait to explore.

It’s difficult to find a good three speed internal hub upright bicycle with fenders. This one seems pretty solid. I decided to go with a step through because I’m tired of hiking my leg over the seat.
The factory handgrips are real attractive but become dangerously slippery in the rain… so I replaced them on day one.

Whoever said diamond’s are a girl’s best friend has clearly not ridden the Franklin 8 speed! It brings me so much joy riding this stylish work of art. The seat cushion also makes the ride ultra comfortable! Best purchase decision I’ve made!
